Deleting your data

Reply STOP. Messaging to that number ends immediately, across every business using VyaparSetu, not only the one that contacted you.

To have your contact details removed altogether, ask the business that holds them — they entered them and they decide what is kept. If you would rather write to us, email info@upmarketindia.com with the number that was messaged, and we will pass the request on and confirm when it has been actioned.

Email info@upmarketindia.com from the address on the account, or from a number registered to it, asking for deletion. We will confirm it is you before acting, then delete the account, its sign-in details and every business record that is not subject to a statutory retention period.

Invoices, filed GST returns, books of account and bank transaction records must be kept for up to eight financial years under the Companies Act, the GST Act and the Income Tax Act. Indian law requires this, and it lawfully overrides an erasure request under the DPDP Act 2023.

Where that applies we say which records are affected and when the period ends. Records held only for that reason are not used for anything else in the meantime, and are removed once the period expires. The full schedule is in the privacy policy.

We acknowledge a request when it arrives and complete it within the period the DPDP Rules allow. If we cannot delete something, you are told what and why rather than left to assume it is gone.
