Coming from Zoho Books
For a business on Zoho Books that wants the same familiar screens, its history intact, and the parts Zoho leaves to a spreadsheet — TDS postings, GSTR-2B against IMS, chasing on WhatsApp, the CA's review — done in the same place.
What carries over
Your whole history, not a summary
Connect your own Zoho Books account with read-only access and every contact, item, invoice, bill, credit note, payment, journal and bank line comes across — invoices with their TDS and addresses, payments applied to the invoices they settled, journals with the same account codes. It runs in rounds inside Zoho's daily API limit and then syncs nightly until you switch it off.
The invoice your customers already know
The tax invoice is the standard framed layout — logo, GSTIN, HSN grid, CGST/SGST or IGST per line, total in words, bank details under Notes, stamp and signature, HSN/SAC summary — so an accounts team that files your Zoho invoices files these without a question.
The screens
Invoices and Bills are lists with a status in words (Paid, Overdue by 12 days, Partially paid), a payment summary on top and the document beside the list; Banking is a table of accounts with the uncategorised count in red. Nobody has to be retrained.
Where both do the same thing
- GST-compliant tax invoices, credit and debit notes, e-invoicing (IRN) and e-way bills.
- GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B prepared from the books; HSN summary; QRMP.
- Customers, vendors, items, expenses, bank statement import, a chart of accounts you can extend.
- Reports: P&L, balance sheet, trial balance, general ledger, ageing, GST summary.
- A Zapier connection and an API key per business.
What VyaparSetu does differently
Sent from your own Gmail, not a relay
Send Email opens a composer with your connected Gmail or Google Workspace address as From, the PDF attached, and the message goes through Google as you — so it sits in your Sent folder and replies come to you. Each person connects their own mailbox with a single permission.
TDS is booked, not noted
Pick the section on the invoice or bill and the rate follows. The receivable is the amount after TDS, the TDS sits on its own receivable or payable head, GSTR-1 carries the value before it, and a customer who paid 90% is paid rather than overdue.
GSTR-2B against IMS, with a recommendation per line
The purchase register is matched three ways against GSTR-2B; every supplier invoice gets an accept, reject or pending recommendation with the reason, and a person's decision is never overwritten by a re-run. GSTR-3B derives from GSTR-1 and the saved 2B with the statutory set-off order.
Collections on WhatsApp, by the rules
A dunning ladder drafts every reminder and shows you the words before anything goes; it sends through Meta's Cloud API with approved templates, only to customers who opted in, once a day at most, and pauses on a promise to pay. Payment links and a UPI QR ride on every invoice.
Your CA works inside the books
Invite your chartered accountant into a read-only seat. A period is frozen into a hashed review pack; they raise queries, propose adjustments you approve into journal entries, and attach the signed set with its UDIN. Closing the period locks it. Nothing is exported and re-imported.
The registration date and a NIL return
Returns start from the day your GSTIN took effect, so pre-registration invoices never land in GSTR-1. If a GSTR-1 went out NIL while 3B was paid, the planner names the later return that can still carry the invoices before 30 November and what would otherwise be paid twice.
Ask, in eleven languages
Ask the books a question by voice or text in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil or eight other languages; every rupee in the answer is a computed figure, and 'collect everything overdue' runs the whole round after you confirm.
Price
Free during early access — every user, every GSTIN, every feature, and a seat for your CA. Paid plans, when they come, will be per business rather than per user.
Moving, step by step
- Sign in with your mobile number and add your GSTIN with the date it took effect.
- Import → Bring your books across → Connect Zoho Books (a read-only consent screen in Zoho), then Record to bring everything across. The first run takes a few rounds; a nightly sync keeps it in step afterwards.
- Settings → Invoice template: upload your logo, stamp and signature, fill the bank details and UPI ID.
- Settings → connect your Gmail so invoices send from your address.
- Invite your CA from Settings → Team, and hand them the current quarter as a review pack.
Zoho Books is a mature product and this page does not pretend to list what it does; it lists what carries over and what this product does differently. If a feature you rely on is not on the Features page, it is not built.
